What We’re Doing

One of the mandates of Wellspring Women’s Ministry is to teach and encourage women.  Here are some of the ways we do that.

Wellspring Women’s Conference, Asheville, NC

At it’s core, this conference is about women coming together for worship, fellowship, and discipleship.  It takes place in the mountains of North Carolina every fall, usually in October or late September, at Lifeway Ridgecrest Conference Center in Black Mountain, near Asheville.  Gloria Cotten is the speaker for the general sessions while other mature women lead a variety of workshops during the day on Saturday.  The Wellspring Conference is endorsed by Grace Churches International but welcomes women from all churches and walks of life.  For more information on this year’s conference, watch this promo video.

Glory Conference, Booneville, Indiana

Wellspring Women’s Ministry supports Heartland Church in Boonville, Indiana as it sponsors the Glory Conference for Women in March of every year.  March 14-15, 2008, Gloria Cotten ministered at the second annual Glory Conference, held at the United Methodist Campground in Santa Claus, Indiana.  To see pictures of this year’s conference, go to http://myspace.com/gloryconference.

Helping local churches

We at Wellspring desire to help local churches, especially in the area of women’s ministry.  We are available to help you train leaders, help you formulate a year-long plan for your ministry, put together Bible studies and cell groups, etc.  Our board of directors also delights in helping other churches and women’s groups put on their own conferences.  We will be glad to help wherever we are needed: help with conference planning and administration, help with speakers and workshop leaders, help with promotional materials, to mention a few areas. Contact us to find out more.

Books

“In the Beginning” is a book written by Gloria Cotten out of her own personal quest to discover what it means to be a Godly Christian woman.  The book explores themes such as being created in God’s image, Eve’s decision to disobey God in the garden and the ramifications of that sin, what the Bible means by “the weaker vessel”, feminism vs. femininity, gender conflict in our society, and many other insightful, relevant topics.
