Ode To A Blog
“What is a blog?” I said.
Wondering, scratching my head.
Gloria said, “You must write one!
It’s easy, it will be tons of fun!”
“Does it have to do with the computer?” I replied.
“Why yes, my dear.”
“Oh no! It can’t be!” I cried.
My devotion to pen and paper still runs deep.
This assignment may cause me to lose some sleep.
“Conform! Conform!” they shout.
There is no way out!
“One day you’ll get used to it.” they say.
“You’ll have fun playing with it all day!
You might even learn to love it a bit.”
“I can’t see it.” I cried.
“But I won’t quit!”
In spite of my lack of skill
And not so much the will,
This opportunity I must not pass by,
To speak of HIs love, I must at least try.
Paper and pen will always be my first choice.
But because of this blog,
You will come to know my voice.
Thank you, Jesus, for the grace you give.
My negative attitude I ask you to forgive.
I take up this call on me to lead
Your precious daughters to know what they need.
To come out of the dark, the pit and the fog.
Help me dear Lord to make use of “The Blog.”
I knew you had it in you and I am so proud- I love you and love that you broke out of your comfort zone – all I have to say is looking out world wide web now you can recieve SJ anytime those lips purch with a thought or rant or praise!!! WATCH OUT (and I am looking forward to it)!

Oh Saundra, this is hilarious! I can just see you sitting there at the computer (without Wayne to interpret for you) just trying to figure out how to turn the #*~#!? thing on! I am so proud of you for pressing through! For those of us who are “a little past 50″, learning this new technology is a challenge, isn’t it?! In fact, your blog speaks VOLUMES about your love for all of us who are reading it, just because you loved us enough to learn to do it!! Thanks, dear sister! I only wish there were a way to decorate your blog with rhinestones, fake fur, and spike heels so that your true personality could shine through!
